Fruit salad is perfected when placed inside the rind of one of the starring fruits. And while that’s impressive enough on it’s own, turning said rind-turned-fruit-bowl into something like, say, a convertible beetle, is an act that will turn you into a cookout or party hosting legend!

The fruit salad in this recipe is comprised of watermelon (of course), as well as strawberries, two colors of grape, and mandarin oranges. Marshmallow eyes and lime wheels finish off the ingredients. Now, about the cutting? You’ll be fine as long as you work with a sharp knife and follow the directions in order. If you’re uneasy with this level of detail work, have a backup watermelon on hand just in case. Have fun and enjoy the compliments!
