- Water chestnuts
There’s just something about a good pickle: crunchy, salty, and just a wee-bit tangy, they can awaken your taste buds and turn even the blandest food into something incredible. This scaly sandwich is a prime example!
- Spread mayo on one piece of bread, and top this with your favorite cheese. Slice one pickle into rounds, cover the sandwich, and then top with a second piece of bread, also covered in mayo. Reserve 4 rounds for the feet.
- Cut one pickle into three sections. Attach the tail piece to the body with a toothpick as the anchor. Slice one piece open almost all the way through, and insert toothpicks along the opening to create teeth. Attach the head piece to the body with toothpicks.
- Cut the four pickle rounds into feet, and place the crocodile on top of your sandwich. Attach eyes to the face with colored toothpicks and small water chestnuts. Arrange the feet around it, and serve!
