This is one of those fruit platters that is so ingenious, it will be a bit hard to relegate it only to Thanksgiving!
The stars of this rodeo include grapes, raisins, pears, a melon, cheese cubes, and red pepper strips. It’s just the right mix of not-too-much-fruit and going overboard with the savory parts, making it a perfect all-in-one appetizer for your next big get together. And to top it all off, it’s a fantastic project for kids: you handle the chopping, they can handle the assembly! This recipe calls for leaving the melon whole; however, if you’re good with a knife you can remove the meat through a small cut into the rind at the base of the turkey, and serve this alongside the platter. Otherwise, just carve up the melon once you’ve devoured all of the other yumminess. Enjoy!
