No matter what time of year it is, or whether it’s off season or in the thick of the playoffs or bowl games, football shaped food is always welcome. Always!
These babies are made up of white rice mixed with yummy Asiago cheese and salty prosciutto. Formed using cookie cutters and fried until golden brown, they’re flavorful without being super heavy like a grated potato variety would be. Keep all of the ingredients really fine to ensure cohesiveness, and then top them off with mayo piped through a bag for the lacing. And although simple (and semi-homemade) the pesto mayo that goes along side these is killer. Other good dips include ranch dressing mixed with prepared horseradish, cream cheese thinned with sour cream and seasoned with fresh herbs, or sun dried tomato pesto and mayo. Enjoy!
