In some cases, kids take the idea of picky eating to an entirely new level. Whether they avoid anything from the produce section, insist that nothing on their plate touches, or turn their noses up at a sauce of any kind touching their food, there’s picky eating, and then there’s really picking eating.
This recipe attempts to address the issue in a unique way. With only fun-shaped pasta and a kid-friendly hot dog, you can recreate a cowboy scene right on your child’s lunch or dinner plate. Cook off the pasta, add it to a bowl, and steam a hot dog. Slit the hotdog halfway up to create legs and then make a face with cheese and a small piece of pasta in the shape of an “O.” If your little one doesn’t mind, a butter sauce, shredded cheese, and vegetables mixed in to the pasta are all good upgrades. Enjoy!
