- Bib lettuce
- Green onions
Right here is a perfect presentation for a vegetable platter, especially during the Spring and Summer!
- Slice one cucumber into rounds. Cut one to two carrots into rounds. Secure the pieces together with toothpicks, alternating between carrot and cucumber rounds, to create the body of the caterpillar.
- Cut the top off of one tomato, and remove the upper 1/3 of the inside of the tomato with a paring knife. Insert freshly washed bib lettuce into the top to create the hair.
- Use olive pieces and mini-toothpicks to create a face on the caterpillar. Cut hatch marks into the top of the head piece, and insert green onion slivers for the antennas.
- Attach the face on the tomato using olive pieces for the eyes and a cabbage leaf for the mouth. Use toothpicks.
